Alecia Underhill
Alecia Barry Underhill is a professional artist specializing in equine subject matter. She is a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, with a B.F.A in Illustration, and was recently chosen as an associate member of the American Academy of Equine Art.
Also a member of the Equine Art Guild, she works primarily in oil either on canvas, masonite board, or plywood. She has been drawing and painting horses for over fifteen years, and continually travels to gain new perspectives and new research material. Saratoga Racetrack, The Coaching Weekends in Newport, and New England area horse shows are recurring themes that appear in her work.
