Grzegorz Jakubowski-Barthel de Weydenthal

 

Born in Krakow, Poland  where he had received most of his education.

After moving to France, Mr. Jakubowski continued his art studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris

and restoration of paintings at the Ateliers Saint-Gervais.

His artistic, cultural and social accomplishments are very impressive.

He is a Member of Maison Des Artistes, International Association of Art, Polish Heraldic Society,

Art Heraldique, Polish Historical and Literary Society, Union of Polish Artists in France"P'ART 9" and International Institute of Conservation.

His painting are in public and private collection in Australia, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, Poland, Spain,

Switzerland, Tahiti, USA and Vatican including Gauguin Museum in Tahiti, Wine Museum in Paris and many others.

In his work there are evident elements of expressionism and Art Nouveau where he combines a specific mysterious aura

with a mood of poetic contemplation.

Although in the backgrounds ring out the medieval motif of "dance macabre"

his compositions posses a tremendous amount of decorativeness and beauty.
