Jeanette Jarville
Born in Vancouver, BC Jeanette Jarville had a natural talent in art making and began oil painting by the age of 11. She spent much of her youth experimenting with different mediums and objects within her painting and sculptural work and enjoyed incorporating new and unusual methods with that of more traditional ways.
Graduating High School with Honors and an art scholarship she was then accepted into Emily Carr Institute of Art & Design. She was awarded four scholarships while there and received a Bachelors Degree in Fine Art, majoring in Studio, in 1996. She also took the opportunity to study Art History and Sculpting in Berlin, Germany, spending one year in Europe. Jeanette was influenced by the abundance of Old Masters works and the history within the landscape.
Recently Jeanette has been focusing on painting on glass, a unique reverse
process. The reflection of light coming from the paintings create a luminescent
and powerful effect. She says her paintings have a life of their own, her work
comes from within, and she is constantly being driven to create.
