John Devaney
The figure in motion has always been a jumping-off point for my work.
For many years my primary focus was on "Swimmers" - human, animal, and even mythical.
Recently, my subjects have emerged from the under-water world to more familiar
but still fluid scenes of landscapes and cityscapes.
I hope my paintings convey something of T.S. Eliot's "in the stillness the dancing"
