Kathleen Brennan

Kathleen Brennan's sculptural work supports her ongoing exploration into archaic and primitive
sensibilities, her admiration for natural form, and her identification with the human figure. She
endows her work with a sense of humanism as reflected in her choice of content, which includes the
mysteries of birth and death, the renewal of life, and concepts of transformation. Her use of
form, as derived from nature, provides her with a method of transforming the body and presenting
the humanist content with greater directness and intensity.
